Caustic Evaporators
Caustic evaporators and brine concentrators are used
in a variety of industries for product recovery, treatment
of wastewater, and elimination of wastewater for zero
discharge plants.
Koch-Otto York offers DEMISTER® and
FLEXICHEVRON® Mist
Eliminators that resist fouling, offer low-pressure drop,
and sound mechanical properties. Because
evaporators can be a violent environment with high velocities
through the mist eliminators, Koch-Otto York takes special
precautions when designing and building mist eliminators
for this application, which can only be learned through
years of experience.
Wet and
Dry Cl2 Applications
Koch-Otto York provides FLEXIFIBER® Type
BD Mist Eliminators for both "wet" chlorine
applications (for removing brine mist prior to the
drying tower) and for "dry" chlorine applications
(for removing acid mist prior to the liquefaction
of the chlorine). Three areas of the plant typically
