Glycol Contactors
Because most glycol loss is due to glycol carryover with the outlet gas, a high efficiency DEMISTER® Mist Eliminator from Koch-Otto York can be installed at the absorber gas outlet to reduce glycol losses. Upgrading from traditional mesh to DEMISTER mist eliminator styles 822 or 82 can reduce glycol losses to below 0.1 gallons per 1 MMSCF and result in payback in most systems to less than one month.

High Pressure 2 and 3 Phase Separators
Koch-Otto York offers its customers the latest technical advances in separation. Several gas-liquid and liquid-liquid separations occur in the same process, and an overall analysis of the system often reveals significant opportunities for optimization amd reducing the size of the separation system.

As the process is reviewed by the Koch-Otto York personnel, many times it becomes apparent that there are multiple benefits including capacity increases up to 300% in retrofits, weight and size reduction for new vessels, maintaining efficiency over a wider operating range, and significant reduction in capital and installation costs.

Innovative products include unique high-capacity "double-pocket" FLEXICHEVRON® Mist Eliminators or DEMISTER-PLUS™ Mist Eliminators. Additional capacity can be accomplished using Spiraflow™ Cyclone Mist Eliminators and YORK-EVENFLOW™ Inlet Gas Distribution Devices. All design work can be preceded with state-of-the-art Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling that helps lay the groundwork for analyzing the complete system.

Liquid/Liquid Coalescing
Separation of two or more immiscible liquid phases is critical in the production of oil and gas. From the moment the oil and gas product comes out of the ground and continuing through the processing of the products, liquid/liquid coalescing.

Koch-Otto York provides FLEXICHEVRON® Liquid/Liquid Coalescing Media for two and three phase separators, both for on-shore and platform operations. Koch-Otto York also has extensive experience in glycol, amine, and wastewater applications, using YORKMESH™ Knitted Wire Mesh and fiber media.

Lube Oil Vent Mist Elimination
Gas and steam turbines utilize recycled lubricating oil for seals and bearings within the unit. As the oil is recycled back to the turbine oil reservoir, sub-micronoil mist escapes from the vent to the atmosphere causing accumulation of oil on roofs, buildings, equipment, and creates safety issues.

Koch-Otto York uses FLEXIFIBER® Type BD Mist Eliminators to eliminate the oil droplets and recirculate the coalesced droplets back to the oil reservoir. This same type of technology can also be applied to reciprocating compressors and venting of crankcases.
